# MCP Quickstart

Get up and running with MCP in just a few minutes.

Prerequisites

  • Claude Desktop or CLI - Node.js installed - Basic terminal knowledge

    • Step 1: Install a Server

    Step 2: Configure Claude

    Add to your Claude config:

    Step 3: Restart Claude

    Restart Claude to load the new server.

    Step 4: Use It

    Ask Claude to: - "List files in ~/documents" - "Read the file project-plan.md" - "Create a new file called notes.md"
